Tamron are following up the success of their 35-150mm F2-2.8 lens with this tidier, more compact but still very bright zoom.

You trade-off some scope at the wide end but make up for it with more zoom – the 35mm to 100mm range is where portraiture really shines and isn’t affected by distortion.

So with its bright F2.8 aperture, good close-up capability and speedy autofocus, we think this is a great lens for event and studio photography including portraiture and food as well as a anything to do with low light, whether it’s cityscapes at night, inside nightclubs, etc…

Obviously the 575g weight would also make for a versatile walk-around lens 😉
