- 40.2MP X-Trans CMOS 5 HR Sensor: The camera is equipped with the same high-resolution sensor found in other premium Fujifilm cameras like the X-T5 and X100VI, providing excellent image quality and detail.
- 7-Stop In-Body Image Stabilization (IBIS): The X-E5 is the first in its series to feature a powerful 5-axis IBIS mechanism, offering up to seven stops of stabilization, which is a significant advantage for handheld shooting in low light.
- AI-Powered Subject Detection Autofocus: The camera’s X-Processor 5 enables a highly capable autofocus system that uses deep-learning AI to accurately detect and track various subjects, including animals, birds, cars, airplanes, and more.
- Dedicated Film Simulation Dial: This new and highly-praised feature allows for quick and tactile access to a selection of Fujifilm’s iconic film simulations. You can also save and quickly switch between up to three of your own custom “recipes.”
- Compact, Rangefinder-Style Design: The X-E5 retains the classic, compact, and highly portable design of the X-E series, making it an excellent choice for street and travel photography. The top plate is machined from a single piece of aluminum, giving it a premium feel.
- 6.2K Video Recording: The camera is capable of recording high-quality video, including 6.2K at 30p and oversampled DCI 4K HQ at up to 30p. It also supports F-Log and F-Log2 for greater dynamic range.
- “Classic Display” and “Surround View” Modes: The X-E5 offers a vintage-style “Classic Display” mode for a simplified viewfinder experience, as well as a “Surround View” mode that mimics an optical viewfinder by showing the area outside the frame lines.
- Digital Teleconverter: Utilizing the high-resolution sensor, the camera includes a digital teleconverter function with 1.4x and 2.0x zoom settings, allowing you to get closer to your subject without changing lenses.
- Improved Controls: Compared to its predecessor, the X-E5 features more control points, including the return of twin command dials and a new front control lever, offering a highly customizable and efficient shooting experience.
- Versatile Connectivity: The camera supports both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity for easy sharing and remote control. It also has a 3.5mm microphone port for enhanced audio recording.
