Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS II USM
A recent enough addition from Canon, the EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS II USM is the go to lens for enthusiasts looking to capture sports with smooth, silent and precise autofocus. The lower end 55-250mm won’t focus this fast and the 150-600m options from Sigma and Tamron, great as they are, are large.
This lens has upgraded built-quality (metal mount, stronger materials), strong auto-focusing motors, reliable image stabilisation and great coatings to give you contrasty and sharp images.
Ideal for both APS-C (250d etc…) and Full-Frame (6d Mark ii etc..) Canon cameras.
- Newly improved CANON USM motor means focus will be spot-on and quick.
- Ultra-dispersion glass element reduces chromatic aberrations which often plague zooms – you will get sharper images in high-contrast areas.
- Up to 4 stops of images stabilisation will come in handy for longer exposures when the lit is dim or when you are at the long-end of the zoom range.
- Compatible with both Crop-sensor (APS-C) and Full-Frame Canon DSLRs, as well as the new Canon mirrorless cameras with the use of adapters.
